LIKE A BOSS (non spoiler) review

Spread the love

Like a boss is about 2 friends Mel (Rose Byrne) and Mia (Tiffany Haddish) who go into business to start a beauty company with a great cast and a message on business and Entrepreneurship.

In the film, you’re introduced to the 2 ladies Mia (the boss) who’s a little more Lax leaving  Mel to carry the load, and Mel a woman who Lacks confidence and always seeking approval from her friends and those around her she even feels like she’s failing her best friend.

We are then introduced to The Apprentice (Karan Soni) who tells the girls that they have been garnered the attention of his boss Clara Luna (Selma Hayek) who does a really great job at being the villain of the film she uses Mel’s lack of confidence desperation and financial situation to manipulate  not only Mel’s moves but the girls friendships as well going as far as sympathizing with Mel’s situation.

While Mia is fairly skeptical Mel explains to her that $493,000 in debt, and won’t be able to stay in business if they don’t recover so she goes along with Clara’s offer.

Soon after excepting the offer Clara starts making changes to the company in order to stir up strife between the partners so she can move along with her plans.

The movie Does an awesome job discussing the struggles of going into the business including debt, creative differences, trust, and confidence.

The movie is better than Horrible Bosses 2 pretty good movie I would definitely recommend you check it out in theaters Friday, January 10th, 2020 you can also catch an earlier screening on January 9, 2020, at your nearest movie theater.
