Stream Wars

As the streaming War wears on  Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, DC Universe, Apple TV,  BET + Disney Plus and soon-to-be HBO-MAX by Warner media things are looking a lot more expensive if you want to cut the cord alarm cable companies to step in and create bundles to become more relevant.

But are these streaming services worth it and what can we see in the next 2 years? Well let’s take a look at the newest one Disney Plus

Disney plus which launched on November 10, 2019 is starting off slow with its original content like the Mandalorian and Lady and the Tramp which are currently very successful especially with Mandalorian featuring a baby Yoda while spitting the rest of their content very slowly which reminds me a lot like its competitors DC Universe and CBS All Access is doing unlike Netflix and Hulu which consistently spits out content simultaneously.

However, Both Disney plus and DC Universe have both done something the rest of these streaming services have yet to do and that offers annual subscriptions rather than monthly

With DC Universe already on the horizon it is said that it may join HBO-MAX comes out in the spring of 2020 and is said to cost as much as Netflix which has raised their prices to $15 while phone companies have offered to pay for 1 year subscription to Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Netflix, cable companies who are trying to stay relevant as they are slowly being phased out by streaming services are offering to pay for the newer services such as Disney Plus.

There are some apps that are free in regards to streaming like TUBI TV Pluto TV IMDb TV Vudu And Crackle you can also download individual apps such as the CW app NBC Fox & ABC just as an alternative if you’re not interested in watching paid content.

Now here’s what we can see in the next 2 years cable companies will become a thing of the past and will possibly try to offer you stream packages instead of the usual channels this would probably a better idea than what they have now

In closing Disney plus is worth it for a price of $6 a month and they also have bundle package with Hulu but I don’t know how that would work you can get it with Verizon for free for a year if you sign up for their 5G program.

Internet is killing TV

OK with Advertisers And customers moving away from TV and onto the Internet cable companies are in a downward spiral and trying to stay relevant with shows like the flash, arrow, legends of tomorrow, Supergirl the Orville And much much more. Most people nowadays get their news from social media for YouTube because of this Cable TV is dying And now they want to control and dominate the internet to keep the Same money they were getting before and restrict information from getting out. This is why we need to get creative if they want to try kill the Internet then we might as well kill cable especially when they take away channels life spectrum is doing we have nothing to do with the issues of networks. Here are a couple of things you can do to stop the monopoly on cable companies Cut the cord and switch the strait Internet if you have a smart TV, if you have a fire stick take it with you on vacation, for hotel owners switch over to smartTVs free if they have their own accounts and five dollars for using your streams such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon prime and CBS all access and the up and coming . A couple of side notes

1 YouTube TV is not a new thing are used to watch Star Trek on YouTube which was great because as fans we were able to discuss the episodes in a more in-depth and interactive way now you have to use Facebook or Twitter which is not as interactive as it was when YouTube first started

2 The Internet is better and worse then cable. Being that the Internet is more interactive the only people that watch FOXNews are fans as opposed to people who go on Twitter and Facebook to see what Tomi Lahren decided to post she has a huge following and that’s not all her fans most of them are concerned citizens and then you have people who actually hate her I am a concerned citizen who believes that her rhetoric is dangerous and I don’t want anywhere else on Fox news except for Tomi Lahren

3 Thanks to the internet we can find almost any movie and show that has been placed back in to the vault shows like tiny toons or cult classics like warlock: the Armageddon, poltergeist the legacy, Pluto Nash, progeny, muppet babies and the infamous Stargate universe

4 There is no monopoly on streaming you have a lot of website you can go to as an alternative to YouTube such as; Vimeo, daily motion and tumblr so take your fans elsewhere if they sensor you.

Media and the free market

Over the past Year there has been a rise in Boycotts, whether it be boycott Netflix Boycott Keurig boycott NFL boycott Oscars boycott NRA sponsors boycott NRATV and many many more. Although boycotts in the past were more affective nowadays Boycotts don’t work like they used too. For example A lot of rental car companies and airlines have pulled out of “discount programs ” pulled certain guns off their shelves and preemptively put age restrictions on guns. Granted what many of these companies have done was a slight overreaction to say the least and a publicity stunt at best it was also a strategic move to get people to go with their rewards programs and pander to the customer base. However I’ve already discussed that in a previous blog which you can check out by Clicking on this link Today I’m going to talk about alternative media Specifically YouTube, Facebook,Twitter and Netflix. YouTube, Facebook and Twitter has found itself in quite a bit of controversy considering With their overreaction where do you have pocket with their overreaction with advertisers and YouTube creators it’s an issue effecting everyone like Matt jarbo’s Mondanematt Kyle Kalinsky’s secular talk, Dave Rubin from the Rubin report, Sargon of akkad, and Alex Jones’s infowars main reason being is since the death of cable YouTube is prioritizing their larger streamers and other news organizations such as FOXNews CNN as well as pushing YouTube TV and YouTube red and although I do not agree with the idea of Censorship we need to understand the most important thing we live in a free market society where you can say do watch/listen and read anything you want just as long as it doesn’t insight violence if these platforms are not doing right by their subscribers then ultimately what has to be done is that people need to move to other platforms. Such as Twitch, dailymotion, vimeo, tumblr and gab.ai. Now on to Netflix. Like YouTube Netflix has a wide variety of movies and shows at your disposal if you do not like a particular show or movie you don’t have to watch it so for you to boycott Netflix for giving Obama a platform or dear white people or any reason is ridiculous just don’t watch it I am going to leave you with a video from the late George Carlin

I don’t agree with boycotts simply because not only don’t they work but because it violates freedom of speech (the first amendment) and as for the free market we are far from it when you still have a monopoly on the cable industry and The energy market
