Hershey park customer service review

During my trip to Hershey park, I experienced wonderful things but I also noticed that there are some things they definitely need to work on so I’m gonna go over my experience The good and bad of Hersheypark.

Day one

During the first day only six hours over there we saw shows got on a few rides perfect we even rented a wheelchair for my niece.

A couple of things to note

  1. if you’re a diabetic and you forget your testing strips are you sure to stop by Any pharmacy before you start heading to the park.
  2. If you rent the wheelchair be sure to get an accessibility pass they won’t tell you that at the rental area they will be sure to tell you when you get on the rides.
  • Food
  • No Matter where you go it’s going to pack so if you have an app for Chick-fil-A use that to order ahead.
  • As were zipping around through the park we eventually decided that it was time to call it a day so we can try to get on one more ride before we checked in to our hotel and that’s where we learned about the accessibility pass.

    Day two

    On day two it was equally as great of you to Caribou need to take care of him and I’ll see you later we had a blast it was raining one of the best parts that I found was when it started to rain they allowed people to take refuge inside a cover of the indoor shows such As The circus which is right across from Chick-fil-AYou also had the indoor rides that were available like The laugh track Reese’s cup fusion, and many others they shut down the rides, giving the guests ample time to find shelter.And they even gave guests rain checks to come back at a later date.

    So in closing a couple of things to take to work on is maybe a CVS kiosk order ahead feature on their app, give access to the accessibility pass to the employees renting the wheelchairs or make sure that information is known once the rental has been made.

    Hospitality the service industry Chick-fil-A Model

    The service industry is one of the biggest and wide variety of subjects that I like to focus on when it comes to customer service So Today I wanna talk about the Service industry.

    Since I’ve talked about it in the past I want to use a specific company that is amazing in all aspects in the fast food industry and that company is Chick-fil-A.

    Chick-fil-A is known for many things it’s known for its

    1. great food,
    2. amazing prices,
    3. customer service
    4. Great communication skills
    5. Great smile’s
    6. Healthy products
  • And their politics but I do go to Chick-fil-A for their politics I go there for the food and while they may be closed one day out of the week i’m OK with that as long as I can eat grilled chicken nuggets.
  • Chick-fil-A has everything a fast food or franchise should have A five-star customer service with a Single digit price range at McDonald’s you’re lucky if you were get a smile let alone get your order right.

    They pay minimum-wage just like McDonald’s does They have one day off out of the week where they’re closed and where nobody works they have this as their benefit package

    Partnering restaurants with Uber and postmates

    As a restaurant or store that’s partnering with Uber or Postmates it is important to remember that the delivery personnel takes the place of the customer and employee So if the order is incorrect, incomplete or delayed the delivery personnel is penalized for any errors which will result in the the suspension or dismissal of the delivery personnel.

    as a courier for both platforms I have seen firsthand my share of mistakes made by the partners for example this one post mates order I was given the wrong order and didn’t realize it until I got to the customer when I tried to retrieve it from the store the cashier/server was not only dismissive but became belligerent towards me but there was no strikes issued to the employee the strike was issued to me.

    While the responsibility falls on the courier with postmates it is still important for both parties to display a level of professionalism which doesn’t happen that often.

    As the training video displays, if you need to stop taking orders for what ever reason you do so by pressing pause order too many times I’ve been to restaurants and they were closed, as a matter of fact this one particular establishment (which I get to in a later blog) told to ignore any orders to that store till 6am.

    The training also shows if you sell out of a product Any product including DRINKS you can do mark it sold out, Or if the employee or managers failed to do so or the drinks ran out after the order please do not guess, instead call the customer and find out what alternatives they may want, the customer might be allergic or may get upset for giving the diet instead regular.

    First in first out, when in doubt throw it out

    now this rule is imperative whether the customer is present or not, the first in first out rule or FIFO for short is important to remember so you don’t poison anybody.

    It’s a simple system everyone needs to follow to the T whenever you are distributing food remember what you put in for this week you take out the next, dates are important and when you are in doubt throw it out, if it doesn’t look, smell or taste kosher don’t serve it. If you wouldn’t eat or drink it yourself or give to family and friends then throw it OUT.

    AMC theater dining experience

    During my Orlando vacation last summer I had the benefit of catching a flick at AMC Springs 24 and my experience was a fair one and although I didn’t have an entrée it was an interesting experience so here’s what you can expect when going to this dine in theater.

    • Customer service

    The quality of guests service is exquisite they’re

    • nice,
    • fast,
    • efficient
    • Precise
    • Amazing

      Food & beverage

      The food is served Perfectly

      The menu is easy & straight to the point
      They sell beer and wine
      They sell quality entrees ( burgers, steak etc.)

      Cleanliness & Comfortability

      the seats are more comfortable then a greyhound bus even with the tables

      The lobby, theaters and bathrooms are pristine
      You order your food when you sit down so there’s no tripping or loosing your snacks, beer and or wine while you look for your seat
      There’s a button at your seat if you want service.

    Why 7-Eleven self-service hot dogs doesn’t work

    7-Eleven has added self service hotdogs to their stores this although it may seem like a good idea it’s not I contest to that claim

    Wednesday September 12,2018 I stopped at a 7-Eleven ordered 2 hotdogs which I suspected wasn’t ready but because I’m a glutton for punishment I ate them anyway.

    Immediately after eating the 2 hotdogs I felt Ill so I rushed home instead of continuing my side job with postmates.

    Later that day I went to the bank to deposit money unfortunately The nearest restaurant I was close to was across the street I exploded before I hit the seat.

    Now as a person who’s worked in the food service industry I know the difference between a hot dog that’s cooked and one that’s only half way done this was one of those cases.

    The temperature of the hot dogs are supposed to be checked with a food thermometer which looks like this

    The temperature for a hotdog has to be between 140 and 165 for safe consumption. If this isn’t it could have tragic and dire consequences such as food poisoning or salmonella.

    The symptoms of salmonella includes

    • Diarrhea
    • Fever
    • vomiting
    • dehydration
    • Fever

    These are serious issues that should have been addressed before doing such a thing and that’s not the only issue with the stores that has to be addressed such as cross contamination in the condiment section like for example the utensils that are being used for the onions being shared in the tomato’s or thejalapeño mixed with the pickles each condiment needs it’s own utensils like this

    Safety is important when it comes anything especially when it comes everything especially when it comes to food, remember these rules before serving

    • Wash your hands
    • never reuse the same glove
    • If you don’t have gloves use wax paper
    • Check the temperature before serving
    • Follow hot and cold holding tips
    • Don’t depend on hand sanitizer alone

    Subway just started a Twitter campaign with the hashtag #subtheburger.

    To my reply is #Loweryourprices, Subways and blimpies are great but are as overpriced as Chipotle and they close early which leaves me with choices like McDonald’s, which is cheaper and unsatisfying, dominos which is expensive and inefficient and Dunkin’ Donuts which is neither Healthy nor fulfilling.

    24 hours to hell and back Brownstone bistro

    In episode three of 24 hours to hell and back we follow a Cajun restaurant in the heart of Los Angeles, the owner Clive jackson who is broken, a man who’s dedicated not just to his work but to his community and family.

    His desire to save at risk youth After his only son was robbed of his life while he was waiting for a bus the man held his son in his arms and blamed himself.

    He wasn’t only about to lose his business but his family and his relationship with his wife and daughter this place needed saving.

    I am more concerned with guest interaction then employees being on their cell phones

    As it Gordon Ramsay sat down the first thing he noticed was No one greeting customers at the front door, staff openly on their cellphone and absolutely no engaging with the customers, they failed to bring out all the food at once and then you have the managers cold demeanor

    The wings were cold, they served processed cheese and The presentation of the food was horrendous while the inside the kitchen was a whole different story.

    As discussed in several of my blogs guests are a priority hence guest first remember guest service

    I am all for employees expelling energy while it’s slow so as long as its in a productive manner.

    Examples every service job I’ve had weather it was

    I spent time engaging current and potential customers and guest. I try to entertain the guests waiting online those were some of the best moments.

    You can also find other examples at Jekyll and Hyde club a theme restaurant in New York City where waiters and characters engaged in song and dance.

    So if you’re the waitstaff and everything that needs to be done is already done be creative and engage guests

    Cell phone usage

    Do not use your Cellphone in public unless you are reaching out to potential customers if it’s an emergency go to a private location like the bathroom or the break room same as if your eating or smoking

    Temperature control

    Check the temperature inside freezer if you can’t see your breath or you can still feel your face it’s not that cold enough and you need to check the number on the panel.

    With Cooked meat it’s important that you check the temperature do not under cook or over cook food parasites, germs and bacteria are attracted to certain temperatures make sure you read the guide lines.

    First in first out When in doubt throw it out

    Very important make sure everything is dated where you can see it, do not serve food that’s expired and before you serve food if it’s not something you would give to your family let alone your pet don’t serve it when in doubt throw it out.

    The kitchen

    Be sure to clean everything before you leave throw out the grease, clean out the vents and trays this could mean the difference between life and death a paycheck or law suit

    Passion over paycheck

    If you were working and you are not going to give it your best or show your interest for the job then leave.

    Pos systems

    It is the 20th century we are passed the era of writing by hand you have companies like toast, Presto and touch bistros

    Renovate, Revamp and renew

    Change the decor, create a new menu and renew your image. Remember Community is important, you’re not in it alone, get rid of dead weight and work with a team (team work makes the dream work)

    Lastly take care of yourself and your employees get rid of dead weight

    McDonald’s business news

    A 32 week old pregnant woman from Canada who stopped at McDonald’s for a caffeine rush got more then what she expected when she ordered a latte from a McDonald’s drive-thru in Alberta, Canada

    She drove off and took a sip, it tasted funny and her mouth burned luckily she a bottle of water in her which she used to rinse out her mouth she went back and informed the manager about the state of her coffee.

    It turns out the coffee machine which was being cleaned and the milk supply line was connected to cleaning solution which caused the cross contamination.

    Both mother and child are expected to be okay, McDonald’s apologized and is reviewing its cleaning practice.

    Given the fact that I have had massive food poisoning on more then several occasions And considering The fight for 15 movement I have to say that most of the employees need more training on food handling.

    First in first out (food fight)

    Rotation is important in food handling I have spoken about this before last time it was but temperature granted this is not the first time I had a parfait that was not up to par the last one I had gave me food poisoning now today I’m going to Talk about rotation Today is July 30 this is food handling 101 Alcatraz landing in San Francisco had a better understanding of this then McDonald’s.

    It’s important to talk about FIFO rotation system in order not to poison anybody so now it’s time for retraining so here we go
