Delta’s customer service

Recently a video surfaced of a delta employee (Delta Debbie) breaking several cardinal rules of customer service and the number one law before we get to that let’s talk about the incident

On August 24, 2018 a business woman by the name of Arlene was returning home from a business trip on a Delta flight from Kentucky-Boston.When she arrived she picked up her luggage at baggage claim when she noticed One of her bags was badly damaged so she went to the service desk to file a claim.

There were 5 people on staff that day 4 service agent and a manager who rushed to handle another situation.

because it’s always busy at delta

after being brushed off and ignored (cardinal sin #1+2) she was finally addressed when one of the employees over heard her conversation on the phone and handled her case poorly.

After she made her claim with another employee who assisted her she asked for the managers name and number to ensure her claim was properly taken care of the employee who addressed her

refused then when she realized she was being recorded instead of calling security she breaks the one law people have been allowed to break when she misused the the 911 system by calling the cops.

This has been a growing trend for months but it’s more costly to business who have to deal with

For the record I reached to the employee in question she has not responded and deleted her whole social media accounts and no she’s not Racist I checkedp.

What to do when dealing with an unhappy customer

  • Listen to the problem
  • Acknowledge their concerns
  • Tend to their complaints
  • Call a manager or give them a name & number
  • Honor their time
  • Although working in the travel industry can be stressful Don’t resort to
    • Attitude
    • Refusal of duties
    • Ignore the customer
    • Calling police for on non-threatening nonviolent circumstances.

Gordon Ramsay’s to hell and back episode review

In this very first emotional premiere of Gordon Ramsay’s to hell and back we see the transformation of Bella Gianna’s a restaurant in Congers, New York and deal with important issues that strike small business owners like immediately spoilers ahead let’s dive into it. Now the first thing I noticed was the owner Vinni who was suffering from A severe state of depression after the loss of his brother in law and the declined of his business. He Felt like he failed his parents who were the ones keeping the restaurant afloat, His level of anguish and resentment showed in the way he treated customers, his employees and his family, The chef had ultimately given up due to stress brought on by Vinni. The Decour was old and the kitchen was not up to code The restaurant had gone through hell with the help of Gordon Ramsay,The family, staff and crew a simplified menu, revamp, rebranding and renovation of the restaurant he managed to turn it around in just 24 hours while working together with ultimately it was up to Vinni To maintain this new style. Now I want point out a couple things.

    1. It is just as important for an employee to maintain order as it is for the employer. Make sure that you maintain your space and disregard orders deemed impulsive or illogical continue to follow food and safety rules
    2. As an employee of a small business understand that you are not just an employee but a partner and member of the family and to treat it as such even if that means tough love don’t just complain but maintain.
    3. Take initiative to improve company standards bringing your own style and flavor and make that difference.
    4. As an Owner listen to the employees and your customers change what needs to be changed and if you are past the point of no return and are bleeding money And can’t get Gordon Ramsay or celebrity to help you I urge you to set up a crowdfunding campaign and offer incentives to those who partner with you.
    5. revamp And rebrand your restaurant invite members of the community as well as influencers that will help you along your journey
    6. After you have revamped, Rebrand and renovate Use social media and sites like meet up’s to invite more customers to dine at your restaurant
    7. always remember you’re never alone whether you’re in business or in life so talk to someone about your struggle. Everyone fails in life but life is as long as you keep it the opportunity to rise above failure is nearby so don’t give up.

That’s what I learned from the first episode Let me know what you guys think of the episode and join me next time also if your A small business owner, student, I do blog on business and education as always don’t forget to check out my streamers the week

    AirBNB

All right so I’m not an expert on Airbnb considering the fact that I’ve never tried it before and I admit considering the negative impact it has had on the renters markets I’m not fond of the premise. Especially when Landlords take advantage of The Ellis act so they can open up Airbnb’s to get a larger profit, while charging higher rents to long-term renters. For a person who lived in San Francisco for six months I found it to be very frustrating to try to find a Room on Craigslist to then realize it was just an Airbnb in addition to some charging $1000 a week for said room that’s $4000 a month, as if There weren’t enough reasons to be slightly against Airbnbs, Bloomberg released A study On December 10, 2015 from the Harvard business school that shows that Airbnb unfortunately enabled discrimination. Due to the lack of anonymity people with white sounding names were more likely to get approved then Black sounding names by host and in February 2017 airbnb host permanently banned after discrimination against a woman by the name of Dyne Suh and just recently Bob Marley’s granddaughter was checking out at of her Airbnb when the neighbors call the cops claiming that Black women were stealing items from the house of the host they were renting from and this wasn’t the first time it happened in 2016 A couple were caught off guard when police came to the Airbnb rental in Georgia pointing guns stating the same thing that they’re neighbor called the cops because they thought they broke in the house that same couple then started a business called noirbnb. Although airbnb isn’t directly responsible for these isolated incidents it has been a contributing factor. On the side of the hosts there’s a lot of risks involved such as the customer overstaying their welcome and turning into squatters or damaging their places and although there is some insurance involved it’s not guaranteed that you’re going to get the maximum and if you’re using your own place you have to make sure that you follow the law to the letter if not you could be on the hook for thousands of dollars like an artist in New York who lost her rent stabilized $1500 Tribeca loft and fined $185,000. Airbnb states it lists the rules for cities but it’s up to the host to make sure they’re not breaking the law And ultimately I agree. Personally I’m not going to knock something have never tried before except when I stay with family members but For me Airbnb is for occasions when you have a large group with you, Instead of getting multiple hotel rooms and skimming on privacy, you can save money and you still have privacy so If this is you or you want to host then Airbnb may be the right fit for you If not you can always go to timeshares and vacation clubs or purchase your own rental property and not rent apartments but if you don’t have that luxury then Do Airbnb for a couple months until you can afford to invest in a condo, co-op, brownstone or multiple family home so you can use as a rental property. Just make sure you inform your community that you are hosting an Airbnb especially when you’re renting out a house or condo to avoid misunderstanding.

    Hospitality

First before I get started on the hospitality industry and toiletries I want to give you a couple of the travel tips. when on vacation If you have a Fire stick be sure to pack that with you on your trip. Hotels have now upgraded to flat and smart TVs Although channels they offer are still limited. if you have your fire stick you could watch Netflix Hulu etc. or if the hotel is really fancy and comes with a smart TV you don’t need your Fire stick you could just use your phone but make sure once you leave you sign off of Netflix or any streaming service you may be subscribe to. Now onto the news. A singer by the name of Haley wrote on Twitter Thursday bringing up the issue of how the toiletry Industry is possibly alienating people of color

I find this statement to be slightly asinine because when hotels look for companies to partner up with because it’s complementary they’re going to go with the most inexpensive to purchase them. The best thing about hotels is at the end of your stay they ask you to fill out a survey and I can say the few I’ve stayed The best thing about hotels I’ve stayed in including the most quality one which was the Hilton in Parsippany, New Jersey for the amount I paid it was perfect from The breakfast buffet to the bar area they have a great burger however Wyndham brands are the ones I mostly stay in when I go to six flags anyway I’m getting off track. Back to complementary items The reason they ask you to fill out the survey because they want you to return and The questions that they usually ask are pretty simple and even give you an option to add any comments so they can see what was missing. Also most hotels usually have gift shops either inside or nearby so you can buy the things that they may be missing and that you may want, remember all brands have a travel size.

So no the value and quality of the toiletries you hotels is not based on race and we need to stop making every single thing about race for the next one is going to be about policy.
