Communicating with customers

The great part about today’s technology is the communication aspect as a small business or startup is the privilege of social media, email and phone notification you can connect with your customers.

For example on September 14 spectrum had several outages in the northeast granted in some areas outages where caused by Hurricane Florence however in New York weather wasn’t an issue.

However they decided to address everyone individually rather then as a whole this might have been a strategic move on their part, although I believe rather then your customers having to find you for information it’s better as a business to reach out to your consumers it saves time and money.

Thanks to features like social media outlets and notifications on your electronic devices you can seek your customers to inform them of any issues.

that’s all I have if you want to sign up for Uber or postmates and try Instacart as soon as I can get on I’ll do a review check out my other job app reviews support me on Amazon or PayPal.

Why 7-Eleven self-service hot dogs doesn’t work

7-Eleven has added self service hotdogs to their stores this although it may seem like a good idea it’s not I contest to that claim

Wednesday September 12,2018 I stopped at a 7-Eleven ordered 2 hotdogs which I suspected wasn’t ready but because I’m a glutton for punishment I ate them anyway.

Immediately after eating the 2 hotdogs I felt Ill so I rushed home instead of continuing my side job with postmates.

Later that day I went to the bank to deposit money unfortunately The nearest restaurant I was close to was across the street I exploded before I hit the seat.

Now as a person who’s worked in the food service industry I know the difference between a hot dog that’s cooked and one that’s only half way done this was one of those cases.

The temperature of the hot dogs are supposed to be checked with a food thermometer which looks like this

The temperature for a hotdog has to be between 140 and 165 for safe consumption. If this isn’t it could have tragic and dire consequences such as food poisoning or salmonella.

The symptoms of salmonella includes

  • Diarrhea
  • Fever
  • vomiting
  • dehydration
  • Fever

These are serious issues that should have been addressed before doing such a thing and that’s not the only issue with the stores that has to be addressed such as cross contamination in the condiment section like for example the utensils that are being used for the onions being shared in the tomato’s or thejalapeño mixed with the pickles each condiment needs it’s own utensils like this

Safety is important when it comes anything especially when it comes everything especially when it comes to food, remember these rules before serving

  • Wash your hands
  • never reuse the same glove
  • If you don’t have gloves use wax paper
  • Check the temperature before serving
  • Follow hot and cold holding tips
  • Don’t depend on hand sanitizer alone

that’s it for now please follow these simple rules and checkout blogger of the week

    McDonald’s businesses news 8/27/2018

They are at it again the CDC has found over 500 cases of people who became sick with an intestinal illness after eating McDonald’s salads which is not surprising considering that on several occasions neither my Parfait or my salad was expired.

The FDA said Friday that 507 cases have been confirmed in over 15 states

Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Connecticut, New York City, Tennessee, and Virginia Illinois and Kentucky,Florida thank god for bathrooms if not they’ll be accidents all over the place oh wait it’s Florida never mind

Reports found its salad was linked to a cyclospora parasite which causes unpleasant symptoms such as

      diarrhea
      intestinal pain
      nausea
      fatigue
  • Come to think I should see a doctor I have 3/4 just missing the vomiting that’s what I get for trying to healthy.
  • If you or someone you have any of these symptoms seek medical attention immediately as for me I’m going to try to stay away from McDonald’s for at least a month and try the zeal, cliff bars, lean cuisines and banquet
  • To avoid fiascos like this from occurring, as a customer check the date on the bottom of the salad and if doesn’t taste, feel or smell Kosher send it back.
  • McDonald’s please check the dates, Make sure there’s no cross contamination and whatever you do make you promote Erika Chavolla to head of security

24 hours To hell and back Shermans

OK in episode 4 of 24 hours to hell and back Gordon Ramsay visits a 30 year old antique restaurant called Shermans in Greenville, MS even Came with it’s own chef and was bought in 2012 by current owners peter and Allison nimrod Who decided to leave well enough alone and kept not only the name but everything in it including Steve the most overpriced item in the restaurant earning $90,000.00 a year, weekly is about this much without dependents give or take

The owners at this point were bleeding money they barely had any customer and everything was starting to fall apart.

Gordon Ramsay Went undercover to investigate with surveillance cameras and a disguise he took a few local farmer out to lunch so he can blend in what he found was even more disturbing everything was microwave Steve had not updated his pallet the kitchen was under unsanitary conditions such as the top of the warming lamps being caked in dirt, Greasy outlet, the grease catcher was caked in grease and the charred pan hadn’t been clean, The only thing that was up to date was the POS system and the 5 microwaves that they used consistently.

    Cross contamination

Meat and fish being bathed in the same sink as the pots and pans that are washed with soap and water in addition to being cooked on the same grill. Please remember food must be kept separated from cleaning supplies as well as other meats.

    Constructive criticisms

One of the mistakes that Alison made is she was very defensive with the reviews and often responded in a negative way. So here are 4 steps to responding to a negative reviews

    1. Listen, breathe, Don’t refer to them negatively (haters) and don’t take it personal
    2. Kindly apologize and thank them for pointing out what potentially needs to change
    3. Ensure them by telling them how your going to fix it
    4. Makes it right. Invite them back For a meal on the house
  • Make the changes that need to made
  • Essentially I actually liked her original idea at this point Gordon Ramsey had ordered another employee to be fired instead of trying to place the employee in a different position however you can’t argue with Gordon Ramsey well you can but you’ll lose.
  • One employee was fired and one was promoted and rightfully so.
  • they had their first successful dinner service and there still open till this day.
  • Uber vs postmates

    7-Eleven APP

    McDonald’s app

    Referral and signup bonuses

Both post mates and Uber eats pays up to $250 postmates after 55 deliveries and Uber it’s first 35 deliveries

    Tips and tricks

    Check the bag

Be Customer Oriented ( smile and greet with more then one word)

Communication between merchant customer if they don’t have what the customer wants call the customer and see if and substitutes will do

    call ahead(postmates only)

As opposed to Uber eat there will be times where you’ll have to pay with your post mate debit card as result it will tell you to order when you arrive if you are ordering from A restaurant and it tells you to order when you arrive call the restaurant and question and order it ahead (except Starbucks or fast food)

If you’re a walker and you have a lot of a ticket delivery take a cab

Do not click order pickup or order complete unless you have received or delivered the item to them

pay attention to the postmates map it will give you a clue as to where the drop off is

    Both are good for networking

All I have to give for now if you’re interested in signing up for postmates or Uber eats you will be eligible to receive an amazon gift card up to $50 With the purchase of a portable charger

    McDonald’s business news

A 32 week old pregnant woman from Canada who stopped at McDonald’s for a caffeine rush got more then what she expected when she ordered a latte from a McDonald’s drive-thru in Alberta, Canada

She drove off and took a sip, it tasted funny and her mouth burned luckily she a bottle of water in her which she used to rinse out her mouth she went back and informed the manager about the state of her coffee.

It turns out the coffee machine which was being cleaned and the milk supply line was connected to cleaning solution which caused the cross contamination.

Both mother and child are expected to be okay, McDonald’s apologized and is reviewing its cleaning practice.

Given the fact that I have had massive food poisoning on more then several occasions And considering The fight for 15 movement I have to say that most of the employees need more training on food handling.

    Niche marketing

if you have a business the best ways to advertise are

    1. Meet ups this is actually great way to get business for restaurants, rental spaces and products you can find or start a group with in your niche
    2. Facebook groups and Twitter hashtag’s Twitter hashtag is as hard as posting on Facebook or Instagram however if done right you can really get a lot of traffic one of the ways is join the Facebook group relevant to your niche,
    3. Build a blog or vlog or have someone who had a blog for YouTube channel to promote your business for example You probably seen a channel I promote in return she promotes my blog.
    4. What’s trending: Another thing you can do is try to find whatever and find a way to incorporate that into your ad an example of that would be yesterday was chicken wings day many businesses used that hashtag to advertise their businesses it was also the roast of Bruce Willis So a perfect ad for that would be “let them Roast Bruce Willis we’ll fry the wings” this could’ve been done by any restaurants like midnight express or Paladar Brazilian barbecue
    5. Video marketing like #inmyfeelingschallange is a great way to get the attention of the viewer

    https://youtu.be/Pq2zurhCXf8h

Grab their attention and strike their curiosity with videos, photos and post

For more information on Niche marketing you can check out this e-book Finding niches made easy or goto Amazon and check out Dosh the free rebate app that pays you to shop

Are you purchase any of your products that I have listed above you’ll get a month of free advertising with a value of $1500.00

To hell and back episode 2 old coffee pot

The old coffee pot is a breakfast restaurant in the middle of The busiest French quarter of New Orleans In this episode I have seen numerous things wrong with this restaurant here’s my evaluation of the restaurant before it’s makeover

    1. Lack of supervision and management. Your management and employees are a representation of your business where are the ambassadors so when they are unhappy or when there is lack of supervision that reflects on you and quite often when you have Poor leader ship and supervision employees will do as they please
    2. Lack of customer or Quality service It is important that your employees greet customers with respect and glee Employees should Pay attention to customers and check on them as much as possible unless you have Zioskthen all you need is a pager just don’t hold it against your employees too much.
    3. Lack of quality control: when it comes to food you need to remember several rules taste it before you send it when I doubt throw it out For exampleI went to Starbucks at an undisclosed location and bought a Parfait grab the first one The texture was off took it back look to see the other two that were left and the same thing the texture was watery so I brought it to the employees attention you gave me A fresh one but he put the other two that I Warned him about back on the shelf this should not happen. Be sure to practice food safety guidelines to not contaminate your food by licking the plate
    4. Lack of marketing: when you have Idol time be sure to use it in a more productive manner if it’s busy outside and slow inside the best thing to do is to lure customers. Several ways you can do that invite them inside or you can give out samples your best dishes do this as often use meetups to invite customers
    5. Poor body language (post posture) when greeting a customer don’t let them see you lean on the counter give them a sense of belonging gratitude for being there
    6. Make sure you clean up after every shift or as frequent as possible to avoid any infestation
    7. Atmosphere
    • Make sure your guest feel more welcomed And less of an inconvenience for more look to number 2 and 5
