Escape from the bay

It is extremely expensive in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco New York and Chicago. California residents have had to go through extreme lengths Just to pay the rent from living under the stairs, having multiple roommates or RV living. If the rental market isn’t regulated due to unaffordablity then we can end up in another housing bubble resulting in a crash, or people dying as a result of over crowding that’s a serious problem. People are already planning to move away from California to places like Washington, Oregon, Texas and Florida. The average employee is now shelling out more than 30% of their household income forcing them to work three jobs at a time in addition to having makeshift rooms which results fire and health hazards, living further away from their job which results in lateness, stressed induced illness, and health issues such as diabetes, heart disease and death.

rental scams are popping up every day people are posting daily Craigslist rentals or commuter beds and companies like AirBNB only encourages landlords to do the same. The best thing to do is to prevent price gouging is to regulate the rental market to ensure landlords are charging a fair amount for rent by giving tax incentive to landlords and business who work together. In conclusion There’s no reason for anyone to open a gofundme account to pay the bills

Overpriced housing

In March of this year actress Patricia O’ Grady passed away at the age of 85 from a car accident. Her one movie that she did was Arizona dream with Johnny Depp and Jerry Lewis.

she lived in Greenwich Village and paid $28 a month for her one bedroom loft, today that same loft is being renovated and turn it into a two bedroom apartment for $5000 a month it is located on 500 6th Ave In New York City there’s another one three blocks down that’s currently 5200 for a two bedroom apartment

this is not a phenomenon in New York and it only gets worse when you go to the West Coast where rents can go up to $3200- $3500 a month just for one bedroom and $1895 for a Micro studio on craigslist. It’s very rare that you’ll find a legitimate apartment in San Francisco it’s either shared room or weekly or weekend commuter bed or an Airbnb and if you haven’t Read my opinion on Airbnb then check it out In this link. It’s funny how craigslist Cracked down on Personals but they can’t filter Illegitimate rentals especially when they have a separate tab for roommates and vacation homes. currently California is facing housing crisis where people are actually leaving in droves. some say that it’s due to overcrowding but I say it’s due to over pricing.

I lived in Richmond over on the Eastbay across from San Francisco for 6 months granted I had a good deal where I was sharing a room with three other people and a bathroom with 12 people and a house with 15 people in total All for $400 but I was grateful for that and so where the plants since they had free fertilizer. Transportation on the other hand was $178 a month and That was only round-trip as opposed to spending $121 a month with unlimited travel. The current cost of living in San Francisco is $41,600 for single person and there is a long waiting list for low income housing so people work in San Francisco can’t live in San Francisco half the time and spending 80% of their income on rent and transportation. And this is supposed to be a liberal state, Liberals are always calling for a living wage but the politicians are doing something else, they’re allowing rents to skyrocket and blaming it on the 1%, Republicans complain about the same thing but then tell you to pull yourself up by your bootstraps even proposing to decrease the minimum wage. Essentially what California has done is, in a way they’re creating an issue to fix another issue but that issue isn’t being fixed. People are either living in storage containers or in dorms where they share a bathroom with multiple people like I had to or living in their vehicles the van or RV living and these people made more than I did when I was working at Alcatraz. commuting is easy slightly I traveled 45 minutes to and from work as opposed to the hour and a half traveling that I do traveling to my job now in New York. The difference between New York and California is that New York the cost of living are still sustainable and we still have social programs. I Believe the only way to fix this is to lower taxes give incentives to landlords who decrease their rent to make it more affordable for low and middle income Residence and to continue mandating housing developers to set aside affordable housing. Although California and many major cities have already Made college free instead of allowing people to drown in student loan debt since college or trade like real estate, construction or automotive or when you go to college to pick up something that requires a college degree like Doctor, nurse, teachers lawyers or police officer you know people we need in society whatever you do Don’t pick up liberal arts because you’re not going to get anywhere. If California Continues on the route that it’s on then it will end up imploding and seem more like Detroit.

Building a symbiotic community

When I think of building communities or villages there are several managements companies that really comes to mind and that’s urban America properties owned by Philip M. Eisenberg and his 2 sons Joshua and James Eisenberg Who owns several properties in New York City and LRC. They built a business out of fixing and building communities. When I hear community building a couple come to mind

  • The Heritage( schaumburg plaza)
  • River crossing (Metro north)
  • 3333 Broadway (riverside Plaza)
  • Westchester plaza (mount Vernon)
  • Roosevelt Landing
  • Miles and Parker
  • Taino towers
  • Venus project

What makes these properties stand out is that they’ve built a community with inside it’s walls everything from grocery store, deli’s, Supermarkets, dr offices, pharmacies to schools and programs that work to strengthen the people in the community. This is what we need to do need to build communities like this communities that support local businesses, farmers and programs that benefit the communities Taino towers house a collage, a charter school, a church, grocery stores and a pharmacy, urban America sites like river crossing are home to schools and programs like RBI and PS55 The children aids society. So when building a COOP community think of Phillip M. Eisenberg, COOP CITY And Parkchester community and the Amish community
Philip Eisenberg

in closing when building communities build businesses inside that community invest, infrastructure, innovation and in the youth of today

Market and advertising your restaurant, rental properties, Products and services by using social network

OK let’s say you have a restaurant or diner like midnight express you want people to come to your establishment You can advertise it anywhere by using all the conventional ways Google Facebook page, Twitter Instagram Snapchat or Pinterest or you could offer your establishment to meet up groups for example Star Trek meets once a month at CafeR and sometimes stone creek lounge but you could invite anyone. As long as guarantee that they’re going to spend a substantial amount of money. Same thing if you want to rent out your space like Ripley Grier. Look for people who don’t have a space weather a yoga class like naked in motion, a course or workshop like Renatus. And the opposite goes as well if you’re looking for a space or looking to advertise products and services Meetup is your best bet.
